Laser Ear Surgery
Dr Arasa Raj Sinnathuray has a specialist interest in Otology (ear disease) affecting children and adults. He has been trained in new surgical procedures using a laser for better disease clearance and hearing preservation in patients with Cholesteatoma or Granulation disease in the middle ear and mastoid. These diseases can present as a discharging ear, hearing loss, ear blockage, ear pain, dizziness or even ringing in the ears amongst others.
Ear Implant Surgery
Hearing loss can present as a blockage feeling in the ear, difficulty in localising the source of a sound, or be more disabling where there is no sensation of sound at all. There are a variety of hearing implants to help restore hearing in patients who are unable to use a hearing aid (eg: a Cochlear Implant, Bonebridge Implant, or BAHA) or do not like a hearing aid (eg: a Middle Ear Implant or Ossiculoplasty surgery).
